Stretching : Achilles Tendon Stretch This stretch is for the achilles tendon, the red line indicates where the tension is. First off, read the information on the Stretching page to read about the idea of a light jog before stretching and much more. To start off, stand up straight. Then step one foot out infront of you, you will need something to put your foot up against. A counter, chair leg, or the barrier around the ice surface are all good choices. Once you have your foot raised at the front, and your front end of the foot up against the support of your choice, bend at the knees while leaning forward slightly as to apply body weight. You will feel the tension in the tendon, this cannot be said enough, DON'T BOUNCE. Hold and repeat on the other leg.
