Stretching : Groin Stretch
This stretch is for the calf muscle, the red line indicates where the tension is. First off, read the information on the Stretching page to read about the idea of a light jog before stretching and much more. For the groin stretch you will need a bar or surface upon which you can place your leg (see photo). Standing facing the bar lift the desired leg up onto it and keep both legs and the back straight. You should feel the tension in the groin muscle. The more flexible you become you may want to push yourself harder to stretch out the groin more, if this is the case simply keep the foot which is on the ground firmly in the same place, and glide the leg which is being supported up, along to surface/bar on which it is being suported. This will put more space between your legs and apply more tension on the groin muscles. When a person has fairly good groin flexability, the splits are another good stretch in which to work and stretch them.
